I think they are done, stick a fork in them.
The time has come, in fact it is likely overdue, for the thread rating stars to be discontinued. I for one never saw the purpose for them but that is JMO.

I dunno I just ignore them.. Only time to pay attention to stars is movie ratings, restaurant reviews, and item ratings on amazon...And I suppose if one tries to come into contact with earth should prolly pay attention to it...

I wish it showed who actually voted and how they rated the thread. I think the ratings would be much different if people knew their names were visible.

The lower the rating the more likely I am to look at it and see why. Kinda like the gapers block when there is a collision on the highway.

Why not just ignore the stars. It is the persons right of expression so let it go. When you draw attention to it you encourage more activity. Some of the posts deserve one star. Posts related to other than Model A Fords should also be deleted. This is not a social network as one or two posters have tried to turn it into. If you want to talk about girlfriends and ex wives and other imaginary stuff go on Facebook. JMO. Wayne
