Default Sun visors for 57 wagon

Ok, does anyone reproduce sun visors for 57 wagons? All I see are for the closed cars. Barring nobody making them what are they made of-so I can make copies? I found some ‘finer board’ visors at a yard and am curious if these are what they are made of or is that the ‘core’ for the vinyl cover.

Thanks,

Mike

Do they look like this?

I wouldn't think wagon visors would be any different from those for a sedan or Ranchero.

It is possible, the wagon is based on the custom frame. I just had the opportunity to get a set of visors with the fiber board base and before I spent the money I wanted to make sure. If not I will have to fabricate something.

Here is another question, is there a shorter chrome piece that fits into a little holder by the rear view mirror? Or, does the spring keep them stiff enough not move when I position them?

These are '57/'58 sedan visors. As you can see, there is no provision to clip them into a holder near the mirror. Do you have the original bracket and arm assembly? The spring in the bracket should give enough tension to hold the visors where ever you place them. Also, you should be able to slide the visor, with some effort, laterally on the arm to block glare coming in the side window.

Dobie, thanks for the link. I wasn’t sure if they were like the 60’s cars or not-apparently it is ‘not’. I have a pair of nice originals but just wasn’t sure if I should grab this set.

Thanks,

Mike

Anyone know where I can get one of those license plate light assemblies (with the chrome cover/lense)? I need one for my 1957 Fairlane Skyliner.

Are you talking about the little lights in the bumperettes? If so I know where a pair are.
