Default Schrader valve

Picked up a Schrader valve that screws in spark plug hole to pump up tire the other day,looks like nos,but check valve is not working,only pump 10-15 lbs,anyone took one apart?Thanks

Randell, Dog here, DON'T pump up yo' tires with thet thingy, it'll put GAS VAPOR in yo' tires & the HEADLINES will read, "BIG- BAAAANG" Buster T.

Yea seems like a bad idea to be driving around on a bag of pressurized gasoline...

Im sure theres some kinda rubber or leather diaprham that moves and supposed to block a port off but has dryrotted.

Yea I would think the vapors from the engine would not be a good thing for the tubes. We seem to have tube troubles already today without adding anything but air.

It's made to pull air in from outside,but I am sure some comes thru carb.

If you use this be sure to ground the wire that normally would spark the plug, otherwise the spark can damage the coil or cap.
