My "go to" tool of choice for all adjustments to my cars when they don't run right is a BFHammer.
Coming to you today from beautiful French Lick where the whole town was a SPA yesterday afternoon. |

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
...coz I bought Pooch's car but he wouldn't sell me his unique spinning avatar, so I had to get one of my own. AND I enjoy displaying my car's cheeky white walls, which are kind of "out there" on this survivor and upset the purists!!

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
I am lucky to be the head wrench on these cars. from the left, my 28' Special coupe, my fathers 30' Pick-up and then his 29' Tudor. We are almost ready to add the fourth to the herd, my 31' short wheel base AA stake bed on duals. Then we'll have one from each year. Guess I'll up-date the avatar then. Its been fun, its been frustrating, and its a great excuse to hang in the shop and share a beer or two with my Dad.

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
I was about a year or two old and my father made a sandbox for me to play in but the Model T fire truck beside it was always where I headed instead - mother took a picture.

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
My 3 cars, 1930 rpu I had since 1985 finally finished it last June, 1937 4 door humpback my father started to restore and wasn't able to finish so I finished it without him knowing and surprised him with it about 4 years ago ( worth all the effort and time to see his face when he first saw it) and the 1930 coupe (I know it is a hot rod) bought the cut up body in 1973 me and my dad built it, sold it in 1988 and was able to buy it back in 2012, nothing like getting the first car you and your dad built together back, that is why I used that picture

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
No good stories like zzlegend!!!
Mine was simply the first time I drove a Model A, and if you look real close my son is sitting next to me. He was 6 at the time. Figured I would retake this picture each year and watch him grow up. Hopefully in 10 years we will swap positions and he will be taking me for a ride! |

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
I have always loved the U.S.A. colors furiously flapping in the wind as I run down the road. Model A's go too fast and the flags get shredded, but the Model T just pokes along and all is well.

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
Mine reflects my attitude to life. Life is too short to take all things too seriously. Enjoy your family, your hobby and your possessions. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, make the most of it. Smile and stay happy.

Re: Explain why you chose your avatar ......
I wanted either a Model T or Model A since I was about 9 years old. When I finally was able to get one (40 years later), I decided the Model A was the one to get because it was more practical to drive. I know (now) the wheels are not Model A, and few other things are not either, but I am not a strict purist. Cars are meant to be driven and I drive mine. The avatar is my pride and joy.
