My '31 roadster has the fit of the windshield posts so tight against the windshield frame that the frame will not pass between the uprights. The frame cam fitted with the 1 inch wide rubber in both sides and the bottom slots. The bottom part looks OK, but the sides have zero clearance for the rubber seal.

Suggestions?

Sounds like the cups in the pivot are missing.
