Default cross shaft equalizer dropping out

I have an early car. The brake linkage cross member doesn't have the equalizer tabs punched/formed. I've read that from April till August or there about this was how they were made.

Has anybody experienced the equalizer falling out ? It was why they started to put the tabs back in.

No,...my car has the factory fix, the part that your looking for in the want adds.
You need this, it's a BIG DEAL,...IF the "dog bone" falls out you will have NO brakes..!
This was Ford's recall for the A's I believe..

Ford had a recall on this problem. It seemed that the center cross member lacked the punched out tabs that originally held the equalizer shafts in position. Ford engineered a bracket that bolted to the center cross member and held everything in place. I believe that the part number was A-2476. I read about this problem and they even had a drawing of the bracket. For the life of me, I just can't remember where I saw it.
