Pan Problem
Today I am attempting to install the pan in my 1930-A. Engine is in car so I am working upwards. Here's the question: Should the bellhousing inspection plate be installed after the pan goes on or do I put it on before the pan is secure? I don't find any mention of it in that Les Andrews manual. Help?

Re: Pan Problem
REMEMBER... any opening in engine or tranny is a "black hole drop zone" for nuts, bolts, washers, toothpicks, etc.. I always try to cover these openings while I am working on the car.
Besides in my old age I probably won't even know it happened until I drive it down the road... Chap |
