I think I'm going to throw the 11 inch setup in it since I have all the parts and give it a try. I did drive it for about a year with the 9.5 inch, maybe I can tell the difference? I will also have the 9.5 disk re-lined, If one of the two other 8BA's I have come together OK, I want to build a hotrod of some kind and the 9.5 setup would probably be great for it.

The disc hub length on an 11 inch is different than a 10 inch's. I'm not where I can access the info, but an 11" will hit the front bearing retainer sleeve on a light duty trans as I recall.

I found the info, not clear whether it was a poorly remanufactured 11" disc that caused the problem, but it sounds like it. The 11" disc's hub is 1/8" longer, all on the trans side. Hard to believe that is an issue.

You would think there is enough travel without bottoming out , might have to do some measuring.
