Default brake or clutch spring attached were

have a 1939 tonner I have a spring that I don't remember where it goes. There is one spring on the clutch but cann't figure out where the other spring goes Brake?

The brake pedal mechanism MUST have a spring to retract it back to the top from the "applied" position. DD
