Anyone that says made from original blueprints or authentic is an Aries muffler.

Get a friend to buy one also, as 2 ship in the box for the same shipping cost. I bought mine from an ebay scratch and dent sale for about half price. Aries sent me an email and asked if I wanted to buy a second one for the same price and no additional shipping, so I did.

I haven't seen the scratch and dent sales for several years, so they may have quit that, but 2 mufflers in the same box probably still ship for the same price from Aries.

The steel Aries muffler sounds authentic, but the stainless steel one sounds tinnier. I like the idea of stainless, but took mine off and installed a steel one and like that much better.

I purchased one from Sammy at Arizona Model A.
He delivered it to the Big 3 swap meet in San Diego, for free.
You might check to see if a parts dealer is coming to a swap meet in your area.

My steel Aries rusted out. I don't remember for sure, but about 20,000 miles. Replaced with a stainless one. I scotch brited it and painted it steel color. I haven't noticed any tinny sound, but then my wife says I need a hearing aid??

I had Sammy ship me a muffler a while ago. I asked him to put a piece of masking tape around the tail pipe just behind the muffler and draw a longitudinal line on it, then cut the pipe off. It shipped much easier in 2 pieces than a whole exhaust and when I received it, it was a simple job to weld the pipe back on. Worked a treat!

Aries is based in Medford Oregon and advertise in The Restorer magazine or on their website, http://www.AMuffler.com. You can purchase directly from them or from nearly any of the Model A parts houses. Note that if you buy 2 mufflers, the shipping cost is the same, so "buddy up" and split the shipping between you.

I've had a steel Aries muffler on my car for over 20 years and 20,000 miles. When I got it, it was unpainted steel (current mufflers are satin black) so I metal prepped it and painted with silver VHT Enamel. Is still looks and sounds like new.

Aries Muffler 650-279-6609
Joe Davis - owner

Oregon

A number of years ago our club participated in a quantity purchase. We ordered 12 mufflers and received a quantity price break. We had them all shipped to the same address, and if shipped In pairs the shipping cost is reduced.

Is this the muffler you need to bend a little cause the neck is not quite in position?
