MMO: How much is a little?
Model A has been sitting for 9 months. Want to put a little MMO in cylinders when I have plugs out for clean & checking the gap.
How much is a little? Oz.? Table spoon? Is it best to let it sit in there a day or two? Thanks. |

Re: MMO: How much is a little?
I'd just 'glug' some in each cylinder and not worry about measuring it.
Good stuff I use it regularly always in my gasoline. |

A few squirts of oil into each hole will do. Spin the engine over to distribute before installing the plugs.

pjdeb - Maybe an oz. in each cylinder but won't hurt if a little more!
Container says ADD 4 oz. MMO to 10 Gals. of gas, is what I do when filling up! |

Re: MMO: How much is a little?
I have never used MMO, but I might try it. Is there just one kind of MMO? Is the picture below the stuff used in the oil and gas discussed here? BTW, does MMO get old?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but as long as you keep the lid on snug you're good to go. To me, it is more of a very refined oil on the order of ATF. Plus it smells good! I buy a gallon jug of MMO at WalMart or Farm and Fleet and fill a quart bottle of MMO when it gets empty, to use that to pour into the gas tank. They have handy measurement markings on the side. |

Re: MMO: How much is a little?
Whatever you put in the cylinders will generally find it's way through the rings by the next morning. I wouldn't put more than 2 fluid oz per cylinder myself but any amount won't hurt anything as long as it doesn't liquid lock when turning the hand crank.
