Default Brake Rods

Did the brake rod support brackets ever have grommets? When I drive into town there are two bumps in the road that cause my rods to rattle something fierce!

Ive taken 2 good drives now that things are back together on my '31 and I too have noticed my brake rods rattle on good size bumps. I'm going to look into some kind of material that will cut down on this vibration. Does anybody know if the '32 grommets will fit?

To stop the rattles, bend the springs into a tighter U shape so that they keep the rods under tension.

I found that the late-style wire springs worked a lot better than the flat ones.
They don't tend to lose their springiness.

These are not Model A authentic but later Ford. You can use them on the Model A
