Default Disc Brake Conversion

I am going with the ECI disc brake conversion system for my fronts on my 51 f1.

Can someone tell me what size wheel I will need to use?

Not sure if 16 inch wheels will work.

When I put disc on my 48, I used 15 inch steels.

When I used ECI brakes on my 41 I used 15in wheels from Coker. Can't see why you couldn't use 16in if you want.

Might check on the HAMB on disc brake conversion questions. I also think there is an F1/F100 site, but not positive. I think I have run across it several times doing online searches.

My humble opinion & not answering your question but....

I converted my 39 coupe to ECI front discs and they work great. However, the stock drum brakes on my 52 F1 are just as good. If my 39 stopped as well as the truck, I would not have converted them.

I would think that the 16" wheels work work without a problem as they probably have more clearance than the 15". The ECI system should fit 15" wheels also so it just depends on what wheels you already have or what look you want to achieve. If you are going with new wheels you may want to change the back spacing to get them to fit better.
