Default How to I get access to re-pin this lock

This is the lock from my glove box of my 53' Merc. I was able to re-pin the door locks to match the ignition key but I can not figure how to gain access to the cylinder and pins on this lock. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Would it normally be matched it to the ignition key or the trunk key? I have tried YouTube but no luck. The videos seem to only show the ignition and the door locks, not the glove box door.

If '53 followed suit with '51 the glove box and trunk shared their own key.
Just a guess but access to any pin cover looks like it may be under the lock mechanism and the thru riveted shafts would have to be removed to gain access.

It would be easier to just pick up an already matched set of glovebox and trunk lock cylinder, than to try to re-pin the one you have (requires disassembly). I probably have a set in inventory. I'll PM you if I locate a set.

You are both correct, I had to remove two of the pins to gain access to the back of the cylinder. I then was able to turn the cylinder clockwise and remove it to gain access to the pins. Re-pined and reassembled and ready to go. Thanks for the information. The door locks were allot easier....pull the clip in the door jamb and the locks come right out.
