Default Tudor doors

When the doors are closed on my '30 tudor, the top of the door is resting on the body front and back. Is this metal to metal stop correct? If it's not right, what should the door sit against when closed? Thanks

On mine it gently sits on male dovetails which are on the after side of the door opening below the latch.
