Default Evening Drive In The Merc

Took a longer trip in the 52 Merc yesterday evening to check out a few things. Weather was variable but I did not have to use the vacuum wipers thankfully. That car has not been rained on in seven years. Ran great and the old six volt lighting system was plenty adequate. Carburetor leaks seem to be slowing down as it can sit for a week and still start up without priming. Managed to shoot a little video on the way home as there was zero traffic on the way home.

Thanks for the ride Ralph. I love that instrument cluster, especially when it is illuminated.

Thanks for looking. The 52-53 instrument panel and dash is one of my favourite features on the car. The advertising of the day called it the "interceptor panel".

Mark that drive to work would be the high point of my day. I don't get to do that since I live in my work. I'll take the Merc out on crop tours though.

I agree I love the 6v lighting. Nice video of her chugging along that road. Thanks.
