I think in a few years 3D printing will be a big help.

If those bearings only last about 300 miles, I'll find a bearing
system unlike those and figure something out.

Why would you do it for 300 miles?

I see more and more parts on Snyder's on-line catalog the say temporarily out of stock, which I read as may or may not be back in stock. Just the other day I was looking for a modern type starter drive. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/p...6183&cat=41746

Generic to anything I’m working on !!!

very true. However I believe you are the exception to the rule.
Youve found your niche.

If you can't get one of those, you have had a lucky break. I have one on the shelf and WILL NOT be using it again. They do not engage properly and that leads to serious consequences for the ring gear. NOT worth it.

I've read about the partial engagement issue with the modern type bendix. A couple months ago I installed a rebuilt starter and USA made original type bendix. It works flawlessly.
