YouTube item
This has probably been mentioned before, but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oilh_v2A8OE
has lots of period pics of A's, and some snappy music to go with them. Not exclusively 'A', but must have been put together with A's in mind........ |

Re: YouTube item
Very long, 17 min. but it really shows what a big part the A played in this country back then.

Re: YouTube item
Wow !!! Thank you very much ,most facinating.I liked the "A400" style just after the bleak looking Cities Services crew at around 8.56 mins .I think it is a German picture as they did a lot of this kind of "laundelet" conversion . The car ahead has a licence plate that does not look USA . Later on there is a good pic of a German coachbuilt laundelet .The Germans sometimes did this on the 114" wheelbase which was not available in USA but was available in Europe.

Re: YouTube item
John,
Thanks for the clarification on the car at the 8:54 mark. Makes sense it is a European custom built. Caught me by surprise while watching the film. |

Re: YouTube item
Did anyone else notice that almost no model A's looked new and shiny while in use. That old lacquer must have gone flat very quickly! Maybe we should put a coat od satin clear on our cars to get an authentic look!

I have always held the belief that we do over restore our vehicles. It has now lost that new car shine with nearly 100,000 miles on the clock since restoration and I'm just as proud of it as I was when first restored.
