Default Rear brake grease fittings

I took my back brakes apart to clean them and found the the zerk has no baffle in it to prevent grease from coming back out.
Was this normal and will replacing them with new ones be bad?
I then noticed grease coming back out of the ones on the brake and clutch petals. Do none of the ones on bushings have baffles?

Thanks.

Original fittings are as you describe. They cause no problems, just use a rag after greasing if you care to be neat.

Will it hurt anything if I replace them?

When I sold Vermin & his parts, there must have been enough OLD FITTINGS, to do 3 CARS! If I'd known, I'd have given you ALL of them.

I don't know how to remove the old fittings without damaging them. The two I have removed are all bent over.

Some are pressed in, some can be screwed in.

Installing modern ZERKS is QUITE a chore, but well worth it. They force the grease into the HIDDEN crannies, so much BETTER!

I have changed out most of my fittings to the “new” style. And as Mitch said, I grease them with my air powered Lincoln grease gun. As I get to them I will change out the rest of them.
