Default Another intro

Cause I didn't see a better place to say "hi!"

A little bit about me. My 59' Ranchero is my HS car "Penny" arrived in San Jose on June 23,1959 complete w/the 300HP T'Bird. Ol'yeller is the 56'F100 that I've known all my life, my Dad bought him cheap in 61' w/a splattered 292 in the bed he's 1 of 500 w/the super duty 3 speed and the big bed post bumper factory. At 360k he's had 6 engines ,a drag racing career,hauled/towed everything I think and resided in 3 states. The 54' was supposed to be parts for Ol'yeller but its just too clean to chop up for parts and its all stock.

I know my way around the FE engines ,chassis work is easy for me. Is there anything I should know about the 54' I-6 before I go out and see if I can make its 6 volt system run? Like its positive ground, left hand lug nuts, that's not a 9"pumpkin in the back end, its probably a 200 w/the later 220 head on it if the intake is bolted on not cast? I've only looked at it enough to go good its over head valves. Truth told the 56' was parked in 78-9' and I know zip about the 54'except the Ca plate expired in 72'.

I guess I'll just muddle along and ask the really hard questions and put up some before and afters as I go along.

Great forum you all have here. I must not have found the welcoming committee yet is all. Looks like a fun place y'all seem a little cool though.

I'm putting on a keg and a brisket 4/1 to celebrate my 4th granddaughter and 3rd 50'something Ford pickup. Swing by if your around.
