Default Looking for previous owners

I purchased this 1930 A Tudor in Visalia, CA. I know it has spent a couple years in Central, CA. The fellow I bought it from knew nothing about it as he took it on trade.
I can see it has had a lot of recent work on it. I pulled the head and the top end was fresh.
I would like to find who built it to learn what has been done inside the engine. Any leads would be appreciated.

I'm going to breakfast with some local (Visalia) Model A'ers tomorrow (Tuesday, 9/5) and will ask about this car. They are really in the know. I'm too new.

One of my fellow a,ers new the car (pretty sure) from 4 or 5 years ago but could not remember who owned it and did not know the history. He did remember working on it for the owner but couldn't remember what he did to it. You know us old retired guys!
Sorryy, Phil

Anybody in Northern California remember this car? It has been through a few owners. The last two knew nothing about what had been done to it. I know that at least the top end of the engine has been done. I would like to know it the bottom end has been done. Inserts or babbitt?
I have her at the fabricators shop now getting new brake lines made. Whoever put the juice brakes on her did a very Mickey Mouse job.
She has obviously been frame off, cleaned up and a very amateur paint job. Painted over dents and holes in the body.
It is registered by the 3 digit number stamped on the block where the original number has been ground off. I would have thought as long as they had the body off the frame that would have it registered by the frame number.
So if anybody recognizes this old gal please let me know.
Thank you,
Chris

Default Title search at the MVA gave record of 12 owners

This was back in 1994 and things have changed. Today you need legal reason in Maryland. Could that work for you?

Default In some states the MVA once allowed title searches.

At least they did when I got my 31 Tudor back in '94. 12 previous owners and all in the same state. Ain't that something special. Two actually were neighbors.
