Re: Finished my Hubley today...
Thanks for the info on where to purchase a Hubley. I didn't think they were being made any more, but I was hoping there might be someplace local that I might be able to pick one up. I will be scanning ebay for a kit and then try to make it look like my real Model A. Thanks again.

Re: Finished my Hubley today...
I did some license plates for a die cast model a couple of years ago, and its the best way to duplicate them. I took a picture of the license plates on my car, and loaded the pictures into my computer. You can mess around with the size and print them out on paper until you get the size you want. When you have the size, print them on card stock so they will be firm, cut, trim and attach. Turned out great, all the details, color, etc.!

I am a balsa and tissue modeler also. Although, more like a balsa and microlight film modeler. I build and fly indoor duration rubber powered models. I used to fly pattern and then IMAC (won several championships) but after seeing my first indoor contest, I was hooked. |

Our local Hubbley dealer in SoCal is Jack Simmons, [email protected]. He has complete kits and all the individual pieces for sale.

Re: Finished my Hubley today...
Nice job, Y ! The Hubley molds were acquired by Scale Models in Davenport, Iowa. They made the "A" 7 styles and other models including tractors thereafter. All the models I've seen have a left spare. Did yours come with a fender well?

In the above picture it is green. It has since been painted black.

Richard, Did you make a Tudor out of the Fordor? Looks good. Is it by Scale Models? The wheels look different than the Hubley wheels. Last edited by Y-Blockhead; 03-14-2016 at 10:18 PM. |

Re: Finished my Hubley today...
