Default Northern Ca. Upholsterer

I'm looking for a recommendation from Ford Barners living in California for an experienced/reliable upholsterer in the Sacramento or East Bay. I would prefer an upholsterer who is knowledgeable about Early V8's. I have a Le baron Bonney kit that needs to be installed in my 34 coupe.

Thanks!!!!
Tom

Tom.....

I bought a LB Kit too and I asked them who in Michigan they recommended and they do have a list of shops registered to do the LB work.

Give it a try.

You might try Armand Auto Upholstery in Walnut Creek.

Depending on your budget , there are two over the hill from you . One in Santa Rosa and one in Healdsburg . I beleive Francis has done more LB kits but they both do excellent quality of work . They are both on the high end of the scale of price but if you are after top quality, you will get what you pay for with either of them .

Francis Minaglia - 707 433 9381

Chris Plante - 707 570 2639

Have fun !!

Ditto on Armand's Upholstery in Walnut Creek.
He did some repairs on my '37.
Very nice fellow!

There is another Upholsterer in Healdsburg who has worked installing the LB seat covers.

Jack in Healdsburg is also on the high end and I wasn't pleased with his quality of workmanship. He made a few mistakes that I had to return for him to fix after the job was supposedly finished!

Did he make it right after your concerns?

Yes he did fix the mistakes but the way he did it was Mickey mouse! He cut the carpet short in more than one place and had to patch the holes by glueing in pieces of carpet. Not the best work for the price I paid him!

Ya...that would be a concern for sure...I'd assumed uneven stitching, etc, not what you have mentioned.
