Default Anniversary For The 52 Merc

It'll be 59 years this week that the 52 Mercury came into my life. I wrote up a few of the details along with a picture of the original bill of sale in this blog post. https://mindlessramblings-rlg.blogsp...years-ago.html

Hi Ralph, looks like a good way to get out of the cold. Any plans for sixty?

Plans are to maintain the course and reach 60. (Years and miles per hour)
Me and the Merc are both senior citizens now.

No, I'm the far left (oldest) The little guy on the right is the one that rebuilt the engine in the late 70s. Did a real fine job too as the car runs great.

I'll have to celebrate next year as I owned the nicest car ever, a 53 Merc Monterey hardtop, I bought it when it was 3 years old and had it for 3 more before trading for a 56 merc. The 53 was he nicest Merc I ever owned , it had a light blue bottom and dark blue top with cream naugurhide interior. Sweet memories.

Sounds like a pretty nice Merc you had there. The 52 and 53 are pretty much twins and my favourite of all. Of course its part of the family history that has me hooked on this one.
