Posting Pictures stored on your computer
Hopefully this will help some of you who are having difficulty posting pictures. I will limit this to pictures that you have in your computer. Now be aware that size matters here; pictures should be less than about 800 pixels wide so that viewers don't have to scroll back and forth to see the whole image. 640 x 480 is a good size. There are many different programs for resizing images; I will not go into those details here.
The following screen shots are for replying to a thread but posting to a new thread is pretty much the same. When you reply to a thread the first screen you see is Quick Reply: Click the box that says Go Advanced That will bring up this screen:Click Manage Attachments This is the next screen: Now you will click in the top box labeled Browse; this will connect to your computer and should allow you to navigate to the folder where your pictures are stored. You will select the picture and click the box labeled Upload after the file name of the picture shows up in the the box to the left of the Browse box. After the picture is uploaded; the file name will show up in the box labeled Current Attachments, like this: Now if everything went as planned your picture(s) should be loaded; to make sure, click the box labeled Preview Post. Here is what it should look like; it will be a thumbnail version of your full size picture: Also I should add that you probably want to type in your message in the message box area before you load the pictures, although you can put a message after the pictures too. And in between pictures and text you can hit the enter key to put in spaces for separation. Hope this is helpful. |

Re: Posting Pictures stored on your computer
Thanks Bill, great directions. Here is my '36. Been sitting for 25 years in this state and time to finish it up. Trying to remember where all the parts are.

How about this? One more time.... Use the Preview Post button; the picture should be there, if not you have to go back and try again. Last edited by BillM; 05-15-2010 at 02:44 PM. |

BILLM . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
800 pixels wide does work on FORDBARN. That is the size that I use for e-mailing and I can use the same here. I still don't know how, or if, you can post anything but thumbnails here, off of the computer. MIKE |
