Default 1937-40 Steering Bracket

I'm pulling the motor to install a fresh bullet in my coupe this fall. I've heard that changing the steering box bracket from the original 35 to the 37-40 may give a little extra clearance for headers. I have a 39 box in there now which has been re-drilled to fit on the 35 bracket.
Can anyone confirm this? I just want to see if it's worth the effort.
Thank you all and HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Not really.I did that in my 36 5W with a 37-40 bracket and used Reds Headers.Nearly touched the box.Drove a wedge in which indented the header and got 3/16" clearance.
