Default 31 Steel top Widebed Pickup

I am in the process of making wood racks for my late 31 Pickup. What
size are the side boards and what is the spacing or location of the
bolts? I have made the posts and am using white ash for all parts.
Comments please. Thanks Grant.

There is no "standard" that I've ever found so it's whatever pleases you. Are there any particular concerns?

Your picture sure looks like a nice pickup.

I have built a wide bed but did not add and wood sides, but did put sides on a 'home made' pickup. Here is a link to some pics. I am not suggesting that you build yours like this, but only offer it as a reference.

If you click on a picture of the truck, you can see more of the work.

Mine are 3/4" oak with the stakes bolted solid. Sure is handy to tie things down. If I would have put in some more rails, I could haul pigs or calves.

Mine are oak, and it is a narrow bed. If you want dimensions, I can get them for you this evening. Lowes / Home Depot (or your favorite lumber yard) is a good source for the materials.
