Default Windshields - 1960-1961 Ford Starliner ?

I have a question to ask? I was told that the Windshields fitted to the 1960 and 1961 Ford Starliner Hardtops, plus the 1960 Edsel Ranger 2 door Hardtop are unique to these three models. Is this true?

Yes. The 60/61 SUNLINER (BODY TYPE - 63) specified a unique front windshield. One can only a$$-u-me that the 60 EDSEL (BODY TYPE - 63) would use the same as it was the same body style and only trimmed differently.

The EDSEL application would have to be verified with an EDSEL PARTS CATALOG of the period.

I'm confused, you have a Starliner in the picture. Sunliner is a convertible isn't it?

The reason the STARLINER WS was unique was the roof line was lowered for NASCAR competition.

You know what is the most embarrassing point in my replay? I had a 60 SUNLINER and the wording completely blew over my head.

1960 Edsel Ranger 2 door Hardtop.
This model shares the Windshield with the 1960 and 1961 Ford Starliners.

Broken Windshield - 1961 Ford Skyliner. If you own a 1960 or 1961 Ford Galaxie Skyliner, or a 1960 Edsel Ranger 2-door Hardtop, this is the last thing that you want to happen.

I remember (back in the day) that Nascar had 1962 Star-Lift in competition.
It was a cross between a Sunliner and a lift-off Starliner roof.

Can you fellas dig up any information ? OR am I day-dreaming ?

I never heard of a Starlift so I just googled it and up it popped. Sometimes the internet is a wonderful thing.
