Smile Sedan Top Trim

Calling on all top experts. I have the '30 Murray Standard Fordor which used the nail down trim which was a soft pliable easy bend around back pot type metal of lead and maybe some zinc and/or other content which is not available today. Best offered is aluminum and it is a challenge at best to bend it sideways without it turning up. I did pretty fair overall. Question is was it originally painted the color of the body, or was it black, or simply left unpainted from factory? Also what about the front piece as to the same question?

Many thanks!

Greg

Dad painted his black when he restored the car. And that is all I have seen on other cars. Although, I have not looked up the judging standards for an answer.

Not sure if it is correct but my nicely restored 1930 Town Sedan has it painted the body color.....
