Default 1955 Ford pickup front brake backing plate bolts

Does anyone know where I can find backing plate bolts for a 55 pickup? I have tried the usual sources (Bob Drake, Macs, Early Ford and online searches).

Do you have one of the old bolts? If so try NAPA or better yet check with Fastenal theres one near you 954 NE Pine Island Rd, I've found several bolts that I've needed for my 54F100 from the store they have here.

If you have the original Ford Part # for the bolt, try Greens - they buy up older Ford dealership inventories and have a lot of small hardware items. They had several NOS pieces for my '56 Fairlane.

Correction: I just re-read the statement on their website; they will look up the item by application for you, if you don't have the part number.

Here's their website:

Merlin, you guys are lucky. I used to buy from Fastenal, but our local store now will only sell by the whole bag or box.
Also, buy bolts from reputable supplier, as the markings on the heads of bolts made by C.H.INA and Co. have no meaning whatsoever. Well, maybe for decoration or to fool you into thinking you're getting something your not.

It helps to know the manager he's a fellow hot rodder. They actually would prefer you buy a bag or box but they will break one open if you need a couple.

Are you looking for those strange bolts with a flat, square head that fits up against a shoulder on the spindle? If so,you're not going to find them at Fastenal or any other fastener house unless Roy Nacewicz in the Detroit area has them. He specializes in Ford fasteners. (the old Ford Barn had a link). Fordbolt.com.
