Thanks fellas!

I got up underneath the car on Memorial Day afternoon to change the oil (no problem with a full size, spin-on filter - I have seen that become a topic here on the forum, go figure), torque the control arms and front sway bar links (that work had not even been accomplished yet!), and to give everything a general once over. Things looked pretty good. I did have a very small drip at the transmission but after checking a few of the bolts they needed to be tightened at least 3/4 of a turn. Nothing has leaked out and there are no drips, no runs, no errors after the last few days.

I plan to get it officially titled today. I have been running on a temporary tag.

A Y-BLOCK does not drip. It is just marking it's territory ...

I have dealt with some old Detroit Diesels back in the day! A little leak here, a little leak there. The 6v92 we had in the MCI Coach, yep - always had a few gallons of extra oil on long trips.

Today I drove down to the BMV here in Milford and officially titled and registered the car in Ohio. I also drove it to the gas station for the first official fillup in quite some time. Finally, we tested the overdrive - and the rpm's went down considerably. Once I get it lined up I will be eager to find out what we experience on the interstate.

That will have to wait until July most probably, the Hot Rod Reverend will be at several churches in VA, CA, and FL of all places during the month of June.

We will see how long it stays it way, after a 30 minute trip and the temp gauge showing 200 at times, we still have no leaks. Only the condensation drip from the evaporator.

Been a busy summer, but I was able to get some work done recently. On the final clear coat of the roof (which I did in my driveway mind you) I was never happy with the results because of the mess of bugs and junk that got in the coat. It was horrible although it looked good from 5 feet away. I decided to recoat and do another cut and buff. The video is long and there is a final reveal but it was worth it in my opinion.

Fellas, this thread has the most views by far when compared to any other thread on this part of the forum - I attribute that to the generous advice from all of you. I cannot thank you enough. Tuesday night the 55 roared to life to conquer the interstate. What.a.drive. With the 292 wound up we took the entrance ramp, the overdrive kicked in and we simply cruised down the road 70 mph running about 2000 rpm.

I have quite a bit on the hotrodreverend.com website. I hope you will subscribe soon if you have not already. There has been all kinds of action lately with plenty of writeups, photos, and videos. I have many "friends" from around the world who enjoy the blog posts. Who would have thought?

Here is a video on the move from using an Edelbrock to a Holley 1850. Needless to say, I am very happy with it.

And, after the cruise on the interstate, the wife wanted to take the wheel on the residential streets! Enjoy this one too:

I could not be more happy with the performance, function, and what this thing is ending up to be: a superb driver. Again, thank you to so many that continue to give sound advice!

It has been a looooooong time since I have posted to this thread, but I cannot believe the view count...far and away the most views in this section of the forum. At any rate - all of you that have joined since last summer may be interested to know that I began my own website last year because the videos, photos, and content was taking up so much space across a few forums that I frequent. If you like the mid-50s Fords I suggest you subrcribe here: https://www.hotrodreverend.com/blog-subscribe. The website I built is through Wix.com, a very trusted, secure, online company.

There are well over 100 blog posts with over a 1,000 pictures, videos, and diagrams. Use the information to help you out on your build or just to get a good laugh at my mistakes! There are a number of helpful tags, or keywords, that you can use to sift through information since I put the blog post into particular categories.

For instance, if you click "paint and body" on the header bar, all of these articles pop up.
https://www.hotrodreverend.com/blog/...paint-and-body

enjoy!

for many of you (and I mean many - this thread has the most views in this section of the forum and the number two most viewed post only has the view count lol) - I do apologize if you missed the email update that went out today. Obviously, this thread was taking up waaaaaay too much space here on the site and I decided to build my own website over at hotrodreverend.com.

Here is the link you need:https://shoutout.wix.com/so/99NZhUxEh?languageTag=en

You may want to visit the subscribe page to re-enter a current email address over there to make sure you are getting the blog updates and all.
