I had two 34 sets done by Apple Hydraulics in US. They were very good in ID of the 8 units 2 were replacement and incorrect for my year. They were able to source the correct two cores and thus returned two completely correct sets. They also seem to be able to work with the front ones which have a strange sealing structure ...so overall very happy...do not know about the price versus others

Andrew Falandes in Massachusetts is my go-to source for shock rebuilding, including those with spun-on covers like '34 fronts. [email protected]

I used Andy also, he had a set of '41 shocks already done so turnaround was quick. He emailed and texted to keep me updated.

I'd stay away from Apple at any cost. Andy is THE fellow to do your shocks.

My one and only time sending shocks off to be rebuilt was to Apple.. to say the least they made their way to Bill Worzack (the shock man that Andy took over) after Apple's completely terrible rebuild job.

Andy also rebuilt my shocks for my 40. I had also talked to Apple but Got an uneasy feeling after talking to them.

I believe you will find the cost to be at least $250 per shock, US dollars.

Not sure about a aussie rebuilder. Maybe someone will help you out as shipping is a bear.

Bills predecessor Andy would be my go to.

The set I got back from them (my client sent them - NOT me) were trash. As in throw them away. They totally destroyed them.

I have dealt with Andy and have been very happy with the results.
Like you I live down under and, other than increased freight costs, this caused no problems .
I do have a forwarding address in the States (Shipito)
