Default windows in 35 pickup

My 35 pickup came into my life with some parts supplied loose. the window regulators have me baffled. I can get the parts into the door and they simply don't line up and raise and lower the window. I know that I am doing something wrong, but need some instructions as to which regulator goes in which door, and how it all fits together. Help?

the regulator fits in the door with the nubs for handles facing the inside of the cab.

Perhaps photos of the doors and regulators will help someone identify if you have the correct parts, etc?
