I was lucky enough to pick up a "good as new" pair of 7.50x17s for $25 at a farm auction sale last year. Had to search through quite a pile of used assorted tires but when I saw 17s I knew they were worth picking up. Hopefully to go on one of the old trucks here when I get around to it.

I have one just like that with a Wood hydraulic dump bed. Came from central Montana. It is for sale in Northern Nevada.

The tubes are going to be as hard to find as the tire as the stem is in the center and bent 90 degrees.

Seems the bigger trucks have been left as used last. My 47 is a 1 ton. Last year I bought a 39 3/4 ton express bed it has wide 5 on her. Truck is complete and anxious to start the resto

putting the widowmakers together

Putting the widowmakers together. Notice the joint in the 2 air hoses where I control the air and where I sit while they're airing up.

Sometimes I think we scare ourselves out of doing things that were routine to our grandparents. OK to have some sense about it, but in general I feel our society is very shallow on the risk taking.
