Not a Ford but my 1958 Buick Special. Need to replace the exhaust system. Any good recommendations? Car is situated in Hertford (Herts) so don't really want to drive to the other side of the country.

That's a beautiful car.

I'm assuming there may be a American collector car owners group near you... ?
Contact them for suggestions of which parts or service suppliers to use, or not use.
Some US parts vendors may not ship overseas, which would be extra expensive, plus import fees.

I doubt the existence of a complete New Old Stock system after all these years and much of what you find will be reproductions of the original.
It may be more effective to have a good local shop copy the existing exhaust system tubing and install it, supplemented with the NOS or reproduction hardware you find.

DMS.....just been through the same saga and ended up going to a specialist who will make the exhaust from scratch.....supply and fit. Looked on Ebay but unhappy with reviews and non positive replies from vendors.

I too recently had a new exhaust system installed by a local shop. Totally satisfied with the work they did. Talked to them first and they came through!!

Went to see Hayward and Scott in Basildon (UK)....very impressive. Car is booked in for July 1st.
