When I was building my '29 Roadster, I found an old school bus in a junk yard and a seat bottom was a perfect fit for the bottom seat. Luckily, I had the backrest springs. If I remember correctly, it was only $2.00.

If this hadn't been a rumble seat car I would have left it alone. Everything was in place, working and in good shape for the rumble seat so I wanted to do it. Of course that was before I knew how hard it was to find a decent one and how much it would cost to buy springs and have them covered etc. I'm happy with it and probably won't use it much but it's "there".

Ford must have changed the shape & curvature of the backrest for "30 & '31. My Early '29 Coupe is very different from yours. Bill W.
