Default 48 Quarter Windows

Does anyone know of a source for the lower pin which is attached to the stainless window trim and also the upper screw? They are not listed in my Macs catalog. Would also appreciate hearing what others have done to replace a broken pin.

Mine broke on my '41. Had to fab new ones. As I remember the screws attaching the pivot to the frames were an odd thread, like 8-40. Was 24 yrs ago. May be easier to purchase replacement frames on line if you don't have equipment to fab the parts.

I had an engineer mate copy some. not a big job. I presume you still have the spring and "comma" shaped thing that goes on it.

Thanks guys. I am going to try to make my replacements. Need 1/4" square bar and 1/8 X 1/4" flat bar which I will probably have to make as well.

Try a site called "OnlineMetals.com". They sell small quantities of just about everything imaginable. You can buy "Samples" which is helpful for stuff like this. Just be careful when picking shipping options to make sure you have the cheapest way, usually USPS. I was in a hurry once and really got burned.

Shaft key stock might be something to check too depending on how long they need to be.
