Has anyone ever seen this locking gas cap?
Missed it last week on ebay, and looking for one. I don't think i've ever seen this style before, and can't find anyone selling it.
Thanks! |

Nice design, I wonder if it's an older after-market accessorary. Somehow I don't think Ford would have used that type of modelling on their cars.

I agree with Fe26. Aftermarket piece.

Thanks guys, I agree. Was just hoping someone might know where to find one. My pops mentioned that he bid on it last week and lost, and was really bummed about it. I thought I'd try and find him one for Father's Day.

Aftermarket or original, is it worth the almost $175.00 it sold for?

Wow - thanks for the info. My dad is impossible to buy for so I'd pay it, but crazy $ for a gas cap!

Hi,

I have two of them- with keys. Look at my avatar. I use one on my 35, and have the spare available. To me, the V8 matches the style on the 35 hubcaps.

Re: Has anyone ever seen this locking gas cap?
I have one just like it but nearly that nice (Not For Sale). It came with my "33 when I purchased it in 1960. Have never seen another one and neither has the members of our Houston EFV8 Club. Mine is not nearly as nice as the one above. It is a really great piece OEM or not.
