28-31 boat tail speedster
I want to thank the fourm for its help in my two year quest of making my boat tail. It has a 28-29 front end . The back end is from a 27 Bugatti kit car that was made for the VW years ago. The frame is 31, it has juice brakes and a t5 transmission. It's been a long road . As they say " it's all for fun" . It was a lot easer hen I restored my 1930 deluxe roadster. All the parts where standard. My hat is off to the custom crowd. Miff

That is really nice, and thanks super88 for fixing the photos. Much easier to appreciate when right side up.

Re: 28-31 boat tail speedster
Very nice !
Yesterdays Hemming's featured Edsel Fords boat tail speedster going to the auction block shortly. What a stunning vehicle !! I'm currently doing a 38 Ford coupe street rod & considering boat tailing the front fenders & altering the front of the rears eliminating the running boards. The pic of Edsel's speedster pushed me over the edge---no more indecision . Bob |
