Default Late 31 two blade fan

Is the late 31 two blade fan susceptible to breaking like the earlier fans? My car has one now, just wondering if I should buy another fan to run with. Thanks!

Yes if it is steel it is susceptible to brake. I would recommend changing it to an aluminum two blade fan from Mac's or Snyder's.

The late 31 fans were much less prone to cracking as compared to the earlier original fans like I'm using.

I had a 31 2 blade start to crack at the junction of the 2 ply and single ply section on one blade so I took it off and replaced it with the cast style aluminum.
