Did you solve the clutch chatter? If so, how?

Yes. I went back to an 11" clutch and used the Astro van disc. I used a OEM Ford pressure plate instead of the "new" chinese one. Now it is smooth as glass.....

It works great!! My t5 is from Mustang with a S10 tail shaft (for proper shifter placement) works great!!! I would tell anyone and everyone to do it. I have it in a 49 F1.

This is practaly a bolt in. Richard in Fla put one in his 53 ford Vucky which has a similar engine bell housing and cross member. However I'm not sure if anyone makes the adapter. I made one for him, it's quite easy just a this mlate between the trans and bell. I wouldn't use the S-10 it kinda weak and has some poor gear ratios JMO

The Cornhusker bell housing cost 485 dollars when all that's needed in this conversion is a plate between the Ford Bell and the transmission. I made one for Richards installation all the stock clutch stuff worked fine. all he needed was a clutch disk.

Ol Ron: You get a little more than a bellhousing!
