9" No Spring Clutch

I'm Looking for a clutch disc 9" or 9.5" with no dampening springs. I'm told the early model-A's had these?
Is there a supplier for new ones?

Or if anyone has any usable ones to sell?

I have a V8 flywheel to go on my model-A and I cut it down a little too far removing weight, now the springs on my clutch disc are VERY close to the crank bolts.

Try some Chev flywheel bolts, they have thinner heads.
Lock them down with sleeve thread locker, (also keeps the Ford from rejecting the Chev parts).

Thanks everyone. I have now received a few. Seems the hub sticks out the back a little farther then the spring type. It was hitting the flywheel bushing before the disc was touching the flywheel. I just put it in the lathe and took a bit off the backside.
Now keep in mind, I took 1/4" off the face of the flywheel... so this may not be an issue with a stock V8 flywheel.

But anyways, the good news is.... it works! Sitting in the garage, I got the whole set-up to work tonight! Model-B starter with a reversed bendix , cut down V8 flywheel and a 9" no spring clutch.

Hopefully in a few days I can test drive the chassis around the yard!

Don't believe all you hear from some others. I run one like this in my cabbie and have never had a minutes problem. No chatter or slipping at all. I would run one like this the same as one with springs.

Well, that didn't go to well!!

I'm thinking I have too many variables in place here...

I had the engine running fairly well with a stock flywheel and starter.
Then put on the new cut down V8 flywheel and a starter with a reversed bendix... Somehow in the course of a few days something seems to have gotten weird, I think with my timing.
We got it running, but it was firing out the exhaust pretty bad (big flames) and the exhaust manifold got REALLLLLYYYYY HOT!!!!

So I tried to get back to square one with the timing of the WICO magneto.

In the effort of cranking it so much... eventually... SNAP! Everything jammed!

Here is the result.... offerings to the gods of speed?

I'm going to put up a new post about the WICO.. hopefully its not too far off path with the restoration nature of this site.
