sealing rain gutters
Hi All,
The wood my rain gutters are attached to is start to degrade. So, what I want to do put some sort of sealer (silicone, rubber cement etc.) just on the top where they meet the body. This way it will hold them in tightly and force any water into the gutters and not let it get through to the wood. Any suggestions besides the two above? Thanks, Mike

Re: sealing rain gutters
An auto glass shop has a sealent for bedding glass that should fit the bill. They have a needle tip for forcing it under the rubber lip of glass channel. Try them out

Re: sealing rain gutters
Was just introduced to a great product called big stretch. NON silicone. Current thinking is against the use of silicone around paint finishes.

Re: sealing rain gutters
May want to check out an automotive seam sealer. Comes in a caulking tube, and can be painted.
