Did the cars come from the factory with side mounts, or were they added later? Thanks

Any car that left the factory without a side mount could have the Ford dealer install one at extra cost so any car could have a side mount . The sidemounts were factory fitted to de luxe phaetons,de luxe 30 roadsters (not 31) pickup trucks and vans . There may be more but I cant recall .
