Default Starter cable routing on a 36 Tudor

Does the cable from the starter to the floor switch pass between the firewall and throttle linkage or below the throttle linkage? The way in the photo causes the pedal linkage to hang up on the cable.

After looking at the photo on p.112 of the 35-36 restoration manual and orienting it with my photo in relation to the sending unit, I need to flip the rubber bracket over. That will pull the cable away from the linkage.

I thought this was a 1/4" NPT opening into the oil galley?

The cable passes between the linkage and the engine. I flipped the rubber sleeve over so it holds the cable AWAY from the linkage.

I wish that some of my car problems could be resolved that easy.
