Fender Welt Installation
Can someone post a picture of how the fender welt is supposed to look where the splash apron meets the rear fender??

Re: Fender Welt Installation
I don't have a picture, but the welting should come down the fender, tuck into the recessed area between the body and splash apron, which means you will probably need to make a couple of cuts in the flat part where it bends, and then it runs down to the bottom of the splash apron (to the runningboard). Hope this helps.

Re: Fender Welt Installation
The first 3 pictures are of an unrestored June 1928 Tudor, which was repainted many years ago. Too bad they painted the body color over the black parts. The last picture is my 9-27-28 Phaeton, which is also unrestored but repainted during the 50's. You can see the top of the welting on the splash shield is slipping out of place. |
