OK, here is the good news. I have two 99A Merc. blocks. One is a factory relieved block and currently at .040 over and the non-relieved block is at .020 over.

The walls are incredibly thick like bench racing legends of yore.

Here's the bad: Both are cracked in the intake seat into the bore. I've spoken to Frank Casey and another gentleman near Buffalo, NY. Both shops believe the blocks can be stitched repaired and then sleeved.

Both have some studs left in the block. Some full length, some broken off at the deck. The relieved one was cleaned and magnifluxed and that's how we found the crack. The non-relieved one is as found and greasy as heck.

I was going to fix them, but I don't foresee that ever happening.

I'd like to get these in the hands of someone who will or can fix them to keep these running.

I can see why these were the preferred blocks for old roundy round guys. The walls are insanely thick.

I'm asking $30 for each block. If you take both, I'll make you a great deal.

I can get pictures this weekend.
