Default Need strange lower distributor cap ID

During the winter, when it is too cold to work in the garage, I enjoy restoring model A parts in the comfort of my warm basement workshop. So I picked up this "lot" of distributor caps for 20 bucks on E-bay to play with. (picture 1) One of them was strange. It had very large brass connectors on the "wings". (pictures 2-3) They look too big for the brass ribbon connectors that serve as plug wires on the model A. I am thinking it might be for a model A tractor using more modern plug wires? Any ideas on what this is?

After market. Looks like the terminals screw off for better connection or could use modern style wires. I am not aware of any Ford tractor that used this style cap/body. Nice collection.

They look like the tops to the "A" spark plugs that have been adapted to the distributer top.

I'm with Ray in La Mesa on this one. I run across this conversion occasionally. The threaded spark plug terminal are often twisted on very tightly with a pliers and may appear as though the cap was made that way.

They look like the cap that came with my Miller OHV setup, because it has a different plug spacing. I junked it because I used a Mallory distributor or I would post a picture. The cap by Renners corner looks like a modern distributor cap.

The one I bought from Renner's Corner, the one that is on my engine right now, is just like the one Bob shows above.
