Paint Colour?
I am wanting to paint my 1949 Flat Head the original colour. I believe it is a brass colour. Was it the same colour in Canada? To anyone having a sample of the colour, could you email me a picture? Thanks for any help. Gary

Re: Paint Colour?
For the US, the 49 car engine was blueish/green like the 48 and earlier. The 50 to 51 car engine was Bronze. If there is Bronze residual paint on your engine, go with Bronze.

Re: Paint Colour?
what I didn't make clear was you cant get original colours in Canada anymore.because of envirement rules all the old paint is gone and there is no codes for new types.

try www.hirschauto.com for engine enamels in quarts or aerosols.
