Hi Jim, I don't know what that's all about... But "too tacky"... I know that the grocery store, next to Thunder Road, has caused some problems in the last couple of years because of the parking situation. I guess we'll have to wait and see how things go once we get there. Vic

Damn, I will be disappointed if the flea market is not there. I picked up some great deals there in 2011.

We may need someone in Georgia like Lawson to get a new Mayor elected for Dawsonville

It's just a guess on my part but I think the flea market will still take place. I've also been told that the "car show" that has been in the parking area at Thunder Road will now be at the School between Thunder Road and down town Dawsonville.

From what I understand on the parking pass I received is that the Middle School grounds will be for Fords only. This should lighten-up the volume of cars that jammed packed the grocery store parking lot.

A "Ford Only" parking area would be very cool, especially if it is at the school, that's half way between down town and Thunder Road, less walkin'...

Mike, we will be leaving SR50 at 8:00 am tomorrow. There will only be two trucks this time, my '51 F-1 and Steve's '55 F-100. If you see us on I 75, we'll be happy to cruise along with you. Hope we can hook up.

Hi Jim, I'm not driving the '39CS up this time, I'll be bringing the '51 F-1. I've got a bunch of extra parts but not a starter motor... Looks like "Long Johns" might be the uniform of the day... See you and Sam on Friday. Vic

Murphy's Law struck this morning... I took the '51 F-1 out to run some errands and, when I came out of one stop, there was water on the top of the left front fender... I opened the hood and could see evidence of a slight water leak at the base of the upper tank on the radiator... Not having enough time to pull the radiator, have it repaired and re install it today, I opted for plan "B", the '39 CS... I had planned to replace one water pump on the '39 (as the pulley shaft was letting some water out) when I returned from the Moonshine Festival... Instead, I spent the morning swapping out one water pump on the '39, I also greased everything and put in a new set of spark plugs... now I have to transfer things from the '51 into the '39 and give her a wash. I put the top down several weeks ago and, at this point, I think I'll leave it down as it is a real pain in the butt to put up without help... Undaunted, we continue. I just love my Flatheads.
